Most orders with Free Shipping will arrive at your address within 2 – 4 business days*. Meanwhile, it will take around two (2) business days* if you choose Express Shipping. Express Shipping costs £9.

Transit Cover/Shipping insurance is available as an add-on at £2.50 per £100 value (items below £100 in value are still insurable for £2.50). Please let us know before purchasing via live chat or email if you wish to add insurance. OBD2 Scanz will not refund nor replace uninsured orders lost or damaged in transit. 

As generally technical products, the items sold by OBD2 Scanz may require extra guidance from people with more expertise handling them. Thus, our dedicated customer support team is here to assist you with everything product and service-related. From our experience, though, basic troubleshooting resolves most product issues, and our team can readily offer it via live chat or email.

We give a 12-month warranty* on your purchases from us. If you have any trouble with the product, you can opt to return the item to us (if faulty, shipping at our cost). We will replace the item or refund you the purchase price, subject to the conditions stated below.

  • OBD2 Scanz will refund the total purchase price or replace the product if you can prove it to be faulty and that the buyer has sent clear and sufficient video and photo proof showing that it is. 

    If you send the item back without this proof, you will need to return the product in its brand new condition, and we will deduct a 10% restocking fee from the refund.
  • OBD2 Scanz will advise troubleshooting steps when necessary. And if a customer refuses to troubleshoot, a 10% restocking fee will apply on your refund if returned. 

    We will only be issue a full refund when troubleshooting measures are exhausted and when the item is proven to be faulty.
  • We will charge a 10% restocking fee for refund requests due to change-of-mind or incorrect or incompatible items ordered, which will be deducted from the refundable amount. In addition, you will need to handle the shipping costs of these items back to us. Finally, these refused orders will be charged £12 on top of the 10% restocking fee.


  • We will only allow product exchanges within one week after purchasing an item, and shipping will be at your cost. You must return the item in good condition, including the packaging. A 10% restocking fee will still apply.

Regarding apps, we suggest in multiple places on our site that you purchase the free app first before getting the paid version. We do not refund paid app purchases.

OBD2 Scanz will not be responsible for any misuse of products that are outside of their stated functions. We sell several highly technical products that require more understanding to use. And with a wide range of vehicles covered, there are many variables outside of our control. OBD2 Scanz will not be responsible for any damage caused to any equipment that our products are used on or used with.

We are based in 41 Corn Street, Bristol BS1 1HT, United Kingdom. This is where our warehouse is and where we store our items.

OBD Scanz is an online-only enterprise though, and we don’t have a retail store/storefront you can visit to see or buy the items. All transactions should be made via our website. This set-up allows us to keep our prices down and it is the way commerce is going and will go in the years to come. 

Once you made an order or the if the courier has picked up the item/s, our system sends you an email so you can track the progress of your transaction. It is important, therefore, to enter the correct email address during checkout. 

We run a system of live chats and emails, as this allows us to serve our customers better and run a more streamlined operation. 

The system also allows our team to collect data on common questions easily. And using this data, we can improve our collection of content and instructions, and provide customers with the best information and service.

We do not maintain a phone number, as we believe that answering 3 chats at the same time is more doable than answering 3 phone calls simultaneously. Live chats and emails are more efficient.

We can ship within the United Kingdom and nearby countries. But, it would be best to confirm with our customer support first just to be sure. 

As long as you put those in one order or transaction, we will put them in one package. Still, if you have multiple orders, inform us immediately so we can put them in one package for shipping. 

If you live in or near Bristol, you can select pick up and collect your order from our warehouse. Please note that we only have a warehouse to pick up orders from. We do not have a retail store or shopfront. 

Also, if you need to drop by with returns, please organise this and let us know when you will be there.

For order pick-up, the transaction/purchase has to be processed online. Cut-off for same day order pickup is 12PM BST. We allow pick-ups only on weekdays between 2.00pm-4.30pm BST. You will receive an email for further details.

We will post all orders done after our daily cut-off of noon BST, and they are ready for shipping/pick-up the following business day. Orders done over the weekend are dispatched on the next business day. 

We endeavour to post out all orders on the same day they were received if done before our cut-off time. However, there are times we may experience unforeseen delays, so we will post your order the next business day. 

On-board diagnostics (OBD) is the car’s ability to record and diagnose problems. It allows you to see all the data that your car can provide, make some simple changes and find and clear faults. The tools that plug into these ports are a must-have tool in modern cars for you to work out car issues and also for doing standard service jobs.

This question can sometimes be a hard one to answer. But if your car is newer than 2002 in the United Kingdom, most OBD2 tools we sell will work with your vehicle.

We sell a range of tools, and the fundamental difference between the lower price and the more expensive tools are the systems they check.

The cheaper ones will just check your engine data/codes, and the more costly tools will check all modules of your car airbags, transmission, injector coding, etc.
